These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website at happymoments.org.uk ("the Website") and the activities, sessions and community groups operated by Happy MOMents CIO ("Happy MOMents", "we", "us", "our"). By using the Website or taking part in any of our activities you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

Use of the Website

You agree to use the Website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict or inhibit anyone else's use of it. In particular, you must not:

  • Use the Website in any way that is unlawful, fraudulent or harmful
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, the server it is hosted on, or any related database
  • Introduce viruses, trojans, worms or any other material that is malicious or technologically harmful
  • Reproduce, duplicate, copy or resell any part of the Website except as expressly permitted by these Terms

Accuracy of information

We work hard to make sure the information on the Website is accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee that it is free from errors or omissions. The information we publish is for general guidance and is not a substitute for professional medical, legal or financial advice. If you have a specific concern about your child's health or wellbeing, please speak to a qualified healthcare professional or call NHS 111. In an emergency, always call 999.

Our community sessions and groups

We run free community sessions, workshops and WhatsApp groups for moms and families in Batley, Dewsbury and the wider North Kirklees area. By taking part you agree to:

  • Treat other participants and our volunteer team with kindness and respect
  • Follow any reasonable instructions from our session leads or volunteer moderators
  • Take responsibility for your own children at all times during in-person sessions, unless otherwise agreed in writing
  • Follow each WhatsApp group's house rules: kindness, no selling outside the buy-and-sell group, and no judgement

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to refuse entry to a session or to remove you from a WhatsApp group if these expectations are not met or if your conduct puts another participant or our volunteers at risk.

Bookings, attendance and changes

Most of our sessions are free and drop-in. Where booking is required, we will say so on the relevant page of the Website. Sessions occasionally need to change date, time or venue at short notice, or be cancelled altogether. Where this happens we will let participants know as quickly as we reasonably can, usually through the relevant WhatsApp group.

Intellectual property

All content on the Website (text, images, logos and the "Happy MOMents" name and brand) is owned by or licensed to Happy MOMents CIO and is protected by copyright, trade mark and other intellectual property laws.

You may view, download and print pages from the Website for your own personal and non-commercial use. You may not otherwise reproduce, modify, distribute or commercially exploit any of our content without our prior written consent.

External links

The Website may contain links to other websites operated by third parties, including partner organisations such as the NHS, our local authority and other charities. We provide these links for your convenience and do not control or endorse the content of those sites. We are not responsible for their availability or any loss arising from their use.

Donations

If we accept donations through the Website in the future, separate donation terms will apply at the point you make a donation, including any Gift Aid declaration you choose to make. Where this happens, those terms will form part of these Terms.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Happy MOMents CIO, our trustees, employees and volunteers are not liable for any loss or damage arising from:

  • Your use of, or inability to use, the Website
  • Reliance on any information published on the Website
  • Any failure or interruption of the Website

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

Privacy and cookies

Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, and our use of cookies in our Cookie Policy. Both form part of these Terms.

Safeguarding

Happy MOMents takes safeguarding seriously. If you have a safeguarding concern about a child or adult at risk in connection with our activities, please contact us at admin@happymoments.org.uk. In an emergency, always contact the police on 999 or local children's social services.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page tells you when the latest version came into force. Continuing to use the Website after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with them will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
